Book a Try Dive with five other people and get it for the price of £5 a head.

What is a Try Dive?

If you are a minimum age of 12, can swim and are reasonably fit, no problem. Come along any Monday for a trial dive at a modest fee of £10.00. This includes all equipment needed. All you need to bring is your swimming costume, T-shirt and a towel, everything else is provided.

One of our many qualified divers will take you into the pool, where you can experience the thrill of breathing under water using an aqualung. When you have finished you will be given a card to show that you have completed a try dive with Hounslow BSAC and you can collect all the information and forms needed to join our club.

I enjoyed the try dive, what now?

Well if you want to come back, as most people do, you will need to complete a Membership Form. These are available from the Membership Secretary, Andrew Baker.

The first course includes pool training and lectures, which takes approximately 3 - 6 months. You will then take a short, multi-choice question test. When you pass that you can go for your first open water dive.

The training involves full use of equipment, life saving, in fact everything you need to know to dive safely.
